This policy applies to the website charmlabes.pro ("the website"), operated by Hannah Brooks under the name Charmlabes ("we", "us"). We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, provincial privacy law.
1. What this website is
The website is informational. It shares articles and general ideas about personal style after life changes. It does not sell services or products and does not accept payments. Any services are discussed and agreed separately and personally with each person, and only with that person's consent. Nothing on the website is a contract or an order.
2. Information we collect
- Information you send us. If you use the contact form or the consultation request form, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), the choices you make in the form, your message and your consent confirmation.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider may automatically log your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the time of the visit. This is used for security and for keeping the website running.
- Cookie choice. We store your cookie decision so that we can respect it on later visits. See the cookie policy.
- Analytics and advertising data. Only if you accept optional cookies, and only from the services described in the cookie policy.
3. Why we use it and on what basis
We use your information to reply to your message, to arrange a consultation you have asked for, to keep the website secure and, if you have consented, to understand how the website is used. We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting a form with the consent box ticked or by accepting optional cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website, such as hosting and email providers, and, if you accept optional cookies, with analytics or advertising providers such as Google. These providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, and their handling is governed by their own policies and the laws of those countries.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to reply and to follow up on your request, and for no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless you and Hannah agree to work together. Then, the records related to that work are kept as needed for that agreement and for legal reasons. Cookie choice is kept for 90 days.
6. Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to withdraw your consent or to have it deleted, subject to legal limits. To do so, contact us through the contact page or by the phone number listed there. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you have concerns about how your information has been handled.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not include sensitive details, such as financial or health information, in your messages.
8. Commercial messages
We do not send marketing emails or messages without your consent, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. We will use the details you send only to reply to your request unless you agree to something more.
9. Children
The website is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be shown on this page.
